Ian went to Stanford University in the US, where he bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Communication in 1983. In 1987, he bagged his master’s in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Career
He started his career in Canada as a management consultant at a Canadian consultancy firm in Toronto. After a while, he got a job as a TV producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Toronto.
However, following his marriage to Susan, they moved to the US, and that was how he landed the job of a producer at ABC News in 1998.
He did so well as a producer that in 2007, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for his outstanding job in news coverage. In 2008, he was made the executive producer at ABC News. In 2018, Ian took over as the executive producer of This Week With George Stephanopoulos.
Some of the other shows he has worked on include, This Week and World News Tonight with David Muir.
Marriage
Ian is married to a celebrated American diplomat, Susan Rice and they got married in a glamorous wedding on September 12, 1992, which took place at the St. Albans School chapel. Their union is blessed with two children named Maris Rice-Cameron and Jake Rice-Cameron.
Jake, like his mom, is also into politics and has on numerous occasions been called out for having different views from his mom.
