MC Shan is an American rap artist born in Queensbridge, Queens, New York. He started his rap career with a major label single under MCA Records in 1985. Even though the song was successful, he was released from the label. He then joined Cold Chillin’ Records and performed with his cousin Marley Marl’s group, Juice Crew All-Stars. His debut album “Down by Law” was released in 1987 followed by two more studio albums, “Born to Be Wild” in 1988 and “Play It Again, Shan” in 1990.
MC Shan has produced several albums, including Snow’s “12 Inches of Snow” featuring “Informer”. He has continued to release singles and occasionally guest performed on other artists’ albums. In his latest project, he released the single “Everybody Wanna Be a Big Star Drive a Big Car”.
